True freedom, the freedom of a redeemed and restored heart is only possible through faith in Jesus Christ. Through his death and resurrection he has set us free from our slavery to sin and to death; on his return, he will set all of creation free from it’s bondage to corruption. What happened here with this woman and what happens in the heart and the life of every believer are just a foretaste, just an appetizer, just the down-payment on what is coming.
